Trina involved in car accident.......

Trina and NBA player Kenyon Martin were involved in an accident last night in Belize in which two children, ages 12 and nine were injured.
According to a report by News 7 in Belize, a green minivan crashed into the passenger side of a white Excursion, which Martin and Trina were riding in.
“As we were coming down from the airport trailing behind the vehicles we see the white car that Trina and Kenyon Martin were travelling in was cutting across and the same time a green van came and they hit each other and they went straight across and one of the children nearly came out of the vehicle because of the impact,” Raymond Martin, a witness to the accident said. “It was very very hard and horrifying and hmmm, I still left stunned right now.”
The driver of the Excursion, JA Jex, suffered minor injuries.
George Abraham, the driver of the green minivan was shocked and angered after the accident took place. His eldest child, Delane had to be carried away on a stretcher. Abraham’s other son, was also hurt.
“I was on my right hand side and this vehicle overtake on this side. That guy was in the wrong in that vehicle. I was on my correct hand. Ahh my shoulder,” Abraham told News 7.
Trina and Martin left in another vehicle and were not hurt in the accident. The pair is in Belize for the weekend attending a Hip Hop peace rally and celebrity basketball game.

Leave Jacki-O alone............

July 22, 2008. MediaTakeOut.com just got word that in the latest issue of Hip Hop Weekly magazine, Miami rapper Jackie O made some explosive allegations. Here's what she told the magazine:
Everybody that signed [to Poe Boy] had gotten their advance money, but when it came time for me to get my advance, I had to f-ck for my advance. It was ten stacks ($10,000) and I had to f-ck for it. So naturally it wasn't something that I'm proud of doing. And I don't advise any female to get into no business - be it music or whatever - and get exploited like that ...
[E Class] told me I had to have sex with him to get the ten stacks. That's how me and him got into a relationship. But that was the situation I had to face, and I made the wrong turn.
But I'm from the hood and if somebody offers you ten thousand dollars at one time to get out of the hood, and lets you go for your dream of doing music, you're gonna run to that.

Happy Independence Day!!!!!

In the United States, Independence Day, commonly known as the Fourth of July, is a federal holiday commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, declaring independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain. Independence Day is commonly associated with fireworks, parades, barbecues, carnivals, picnics, baseball games, and various other public and private events celebrating the history, government, and traditions of the United States, but is often also viewed as simply a summer festival, apart from its patriotic overtones.

Janet ticket sales for tour, going well!!!

Madonna's ticket sales may have gotten off to a slow start, but Janet Jackson's are doing fine, claims Live Nation, their concert-tour company.
Jackson is hitting the road to promote her latest CD, "Discipline", which hasn't fared well on the charts since its February release.
But hopes are still high for Jackson's tour at Live Nation, where the chairman left last week after criticism that he was paying stars too much for the return. "She's a tour record-breaker, having grossed more than $100 million in her career".
So why is Jackson apparently selling well while only half of the seats at Madonna's L.A. show have been sold? Her tickets are cheaper than Madonna's, ranging from $46 to $126 at the Izod Center in New Jersey, for example, where Jackson performs Oct. 17. And unlike Madonna, who almost always favors her new material in shows, Jackson is willing to do the fan-favorite hits.
"We're very happy with the ticket sales," said a Live Nation spokesman. "She hasn't complained about us. Thank God."
It's great to see Janet's Live Nation 'situation' working out well at this early stage. There are murmurings that she may sign a similar '360' deal similar to that of Jay-Z, Madonna etc with the company should the tour do well.

Beyonce - Baby Boy (Alternate Version)

Beyonce's 2003 chart topper 'Baby Boy' needs little introduction. Yet many don't seem to be aware of the existence of an alternate version of the song; which features entirely new lyrics. Weirdly enough, it was this version of the track (which still goes hard even today) that I heard initially; I remember scratching my head at the 2003 MTV VMA's when she performed what is now known as the 'single' version of the track. Enough of my babbling, take a listen...
